We found the hotel great. We were there with baby to relax for two days. Everything was perfect: the sauna, the breakfast and the owner family were very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Good service delicious food spontaneous nice owners. Hospitable after a long hike there's also water for your feet and a free taxi from the boss to Gengenbach was really nice????

Great place to feast. Thank you for the competent and friendly service. The lettuce with kracherle to "put in" and who likes Munster cheese, should not do without the cordon bleu with Munster cheese.

A regular favourite in Gengenbach, if you look for traditional plates, prepared and served with accuracy.

Inn is great! Also very suitable for large family celebrations. Great location. Very nice location and food tasted great!

I noticed the other reviewers are people of few words. I felt a little more detail would be helpful. We stayed at Rössle last July for almost a week. We had a mix of weather: rain, grey, sunny, hot. Our room overlooked the courtyard dining area. The room (w/bathroom) was typical small size. This lovely hotel is run by a very competent hard-working family - clean, good condition, fresh flowers, friendly helpful people (some know English), good food. The menu had good variety (except there were no wursts). They have a big parking area (no charge). To the back is a beautiful view of the hillside & forest you can enjoy from their rooftop deck. There is a cooler in the upstairs hallway you can buy inexpensive beer. The location is great for local shopping as well as visiting points of interest from Freiburg, Europa Park and up to Offenburg. The hiking is fantastic. It is possible to walk to Gegenbach. There is bus service (free for hotel guests) very close to the hotel. The Rössle is popular and several evenings were lively - great to see happy people partying but you may be kept awake until after midnight. There is no air conditioning so the windows in your room need to be managed according to the heat, rain, noise. There is a day where they are closed so you need your key to get in the main entrance. The short story is that we would consider going back there in a heartbeat.

- Parking is sufficiently available, these are behind and next to the hotel - The hotel is very quiet and had a very idyllic atmosphere - next to the hotel is a nice beer garden - The rooms were clean and are well maintained - Toilet and shower are separate, but are in the room. The access to the shower is right in the room which is a bit uncommon but for me personally no problem - Wi-Fi was good, ran without problems (2 OG + DG) - Breakfast was delicious, but nothing special. A normal breakfast - Thursday is closed - On the first floor is a fridge where you can store some food cool. There are also drinks provided by the hotel which can be purchased
